2009 Water Safety Instructor Update
If you are currently a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and would like to continue teaching after December 31, 2009, you need to complete an update to the new program.
You can update completely online, but there are a couple things to remember:
- The new Water Safety Kit (r.09) is required to complete the online update. Click here if you want to order a kit online. If you would like to pick up a kit at our Cedar Rapids or Iowa City office, please call 319-393-3500 or email VerMeerN@grantwood-redcross.org
- A user name and password is required to view the update online. Please register with Instructor’s Corner if you have not previously done so. Remember to check that you are a WSI instructor when registering.

- Remember you will need to enter your user name and password first

- Once you've completed the update online, remember to print the verification form. In order to finish the update process, you must submit this form to the Grant Wood Area Chapter via mail, fax or email.
- New instructor cards will be sent out after instructor reauthorization in January.
